The MQUTeR centre comprises four initial research arms. The goal is to unify these projects through an integrated virtual laboratory for undertaking research. The projects are:

1. Smart Tools for Bioinformatics
2. Adaptive sensor networks for observing and assessing environment and ecological systems
3. Parallelism – Exploiting Available Resources
4. Mobile Computing
